Cyprus Airways – Sales Manager

Job Roles

• Oversee all of a region’s reservations, sales and ticket sales offices. And the sales representatives in that region.
• Promote the airline to businesses and organizations to sell both cargo and passengers
• Manage sales and marketing activities with the aim of achieving revenue and service targets
• Maximize yield and build commercial and brand awareness, and loyalty
• Maximize the use of online sales tools; promote the airline’s services and products
• Negotiate global and local agreements for the airline, manage the legal contracting processes, provide accurate reporting and sales data analysis, monitor airline’s performance improvements within the parameters set by the commercial strategy
• Utilize data sources and reporting tools to build a holistic view of account portfolio to optimize revenue
• Monitor commercial performance of his/her portfolio and liaise closely with the pricing team to maximize the account’s overall profitability
• Identify new business opportunities
• Contribute towards, and support the commercial strategy across all points of sale
• Participate in social events outside of working hours to make business contacts and generate or follow up on sales leads
• Responsible for managing relationships between key airline partners
• Supervise and maintain his/her customer relationships

Key Competencies:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in account management of airlines
• Strong commercial awareness
• Strong negotiator
• Strong levels of numeracy and analytical ability
• Strong presentation and communication skills
• Understanding of airline sector and E-commerce in travel
• Appreciation of external and internal influences on the industry
• Microsoft Word/Excel/PowerPoint skills
• Strong organizational and prioritization abilities
• High level of English, both written and oral.

• Existing contacts/partnerships with the travel sector
